My Nikita sports tank

About a year ago, I made a Nikita sports tank, but I did not have the time to share it on the blog yet! So today, I decided that it was time.

I first bought this fabric to make the Jalie Mimosa but it did not work the way I wanted it. I did not like the colour of the fabric with the design of the top, it was too much. I then decided to leave it aside and move on. A few weeks later, I came back to it and I wanted to make it into the Jalie Nikita, luckily, I had just the right amount of fabric. I cut into the top and the scraps, sewed it and now I love this top so much!!

The Jalie Nikita is a great pattern for a sport tank or a summer top, it is super comfortable to wear on warm days. With this pattern, you can make a shirt or a dress and you can choose between an open or closed back. Like all the Jalie patterns, the instructions are simple to follow and there are 28 different sizes for girls and women.

I really like the details on this pattern, the little slit on the side, the open back and the armhole band.

Here are the details in pictures:

I made size Q (this is one size bigger than my actual size). I not super happy with the hem because it is kinda wavy, because I made this more than a year ago and I did not know how to use my serjer properly… anyways I still love wearing this top!
