The Chantilly vest

Hello!! it’s been awhile I haven’t posted here! I have been so busy with school and I got sick twice in 2 months which was not very fun but, now, I am back and I would like to share with you a new finished object: my Chantilly vest by Penrose Knits!

A few weeks back, I decided to apply to the test knit for the Chantilly vest because I really liked the design with the big collar. And I got accepted for the test knit! This wasn’t my first time test knitting for Penrose Knits since in the spring, I also test knitted her Summer Soufflé, you can read that blog post here!

This pattern is really well explained and it’s size inclusive with 10 different sizes! For the yarn, I decided to use Drops Flora and Drops Kid-silk mohair. I really like the combination of the 2, it makes a really nice fabric that is soft and warm.

I really like the big collar on this pattern with the little ruffle at the edge. I think it’s really cute! I also used the “Italian bind off” method to bind off and it looks so good. The Italian bind off takes forever to do but it is worth it in my opinion. I like to use the Purl Soho video, it’s really well explained.

Here are the details:

I made the size 2 and did not do any modification.
