Baby and toddler pants with a free sewing pattern
Hello! Today, I want to share some little baby pants I made for some friends. I really like this pattern since the pants “grow” with the child. I already made these baby pants read the post here.
This pattern is free and really quick to sew. You can also find a step-by-step video for the pattern. The pattern offers 3 sizes, from birth to 5 years old. It took me 45 minutes to print the pattern, cut the fabric and sew one of these pants. This pattern is a good one to start sewing clothes for babies and children!
What I really like about this pattern is that it is evolutive, the pants grow with the child. To do this, you simply fold or unfold the waist and ankle bands. I think it is a really good idea since babies grow so quickly!
Here is a comparison to see with the bands folded and unfolded.

I made 3 pants: two newborn to 6 months size and one 6 months to 3 years old size.
I used:
- Cute flower jersey that I bought at Club Tissus
- Rib jersey that I bought at Club Tissus
- The free evolutive pant pattern from Club Tissus
