Knit a chunky sweater – Seamless mock neck sweater

Today, I am very excited to show you my latest knitting make: the seamless mock neck sweater!

This project started when one of my favourite knitting YouTube channel (Well-Loved Knits) showed this pattern she was creating and she made a test call. As soon as I saw it, I applied to test it but, sadly, I was not picked. I still really wanted to knit sweater so I waited for the pattern to be released and I bought it to make this sweater in early December.

For this sweater, I used one of the recommended yarns: Drops Andes. This yarn is so soft and it is 100% natural fibres, it is 65% wool and 35% alpaca. It was really nice to knit and super comfortable to wear. On top of that, it isn’t too expensive for chunky yarn, I paid $10,76 for each ball.

The pattern is really well explained and there’s even a video for the main parts. What I really liked about this pattern is that there is no german short rows because the increases are on your shoulder instead of a normal raglan. Overall, if you want to knit your first sweater, this pattern is perfect! It is super simple and very quick to knit, it only took me 2.5 weeks to complete this sweater.

Here are the pictures:

I made size XS and, for once, it wasn’t too big! I did not make any modification. I just made the sleeves shorter, I guess, I don’t have very long arms 🙂
