The Nico shirts

Today, I want to share two shirts that I made for my 10 years old brother. I already made him 2 Nico shirts this summer and he loved them. He wore them all the time. The problem is that they are short sleeve. So, around November, I made 2 other Nico tops but this time long sleeve!

For once, my brother came to Club Tissus (He never wants to come, he thinks I take way too long to choose fabrics :)) While I was looking for other things, he found a really nice printed french terry from Poppy. As soon as he showed it to me, I thought I could make long sleeve shirts!

I really like working with the Nico pattern from Jalie. It is the perfect top to have fun with fabric (who doesn’t love a nice little raglan shirt?!?!). The pattern offers 3 different sleeves length: short, three-quarter or long sleeve. I love that it has different sleeve length because just by changing the fabric and the sleeve length you can get very different styles of shirts! Like all Jalie patterns, it has 27 sizes that are for boys and men, so you can make shirts for everyone in the family.

At first, I wanted to make both shirts with the light grey and the print just the opposite way but I did not have enough printed fabric so I found some dark grey french terry in my stash and it ended up really nice.

Here are the details:

I made Size O and shortened the body and sleeves by 2cm.
